On October 18th The Air Pirates Radio Theater returns with their unique take on…yes the classic television show The Twilight Zone.
A unique mash-up of old-time radio and stoner humor the Air Pirates have been called “A Prairie Home Companion with a bong.” Join the pirates in Sugar Loaf or Newburgh and Get Twilight Zoned.
When you hear those famous words “Live from New York it’s Saturday Night Live” you know your chance of being in an SNL sketch is zero, but when you hear “Live from New York it’s the Air Pirates.” you’re guaranteed to be part of the Air Pirates broadcast.
Prior to the performance the audience is auditioned and given all the necessary props and a review of what they are to do. The Cue Card Girl lets the audience know when it’s time to slam a door, make the footsteps and even shoot the guns (props, thank you) during the shows.
Now they return with their own style of madhouse theater. In the past the Pirates have taken on mysteries, musicals, War of the Worlds and now they get Twilight Zoned.
The Air Pirates Get Twilight Zoned on October 18 & 19 at SLPAC in Sugar Loaf, NY. The show continues the next weekend October 25 & 26 in Newburgh at The Ellis 60 Dubois Street . All performances begin at 7:30 pm.

PEP productions is presenting Out of the Box, a Celebration of New Plays featuring six 30-40 minute plays to be workshopped in Newburgh at The Ellis, a new performance space at 60 Dubois St. Beginning in May play readings will be open to the public and continue through June and July culminating in a full production of three plays selected from the public readings.
Each month two plays will be presented, at The Ellis, as staged readings open to the public. At these readings we will have an open discussion about the material. Three plays will be selected for a full production on August 16 & 17 at The Ellis in Newburgh and on the 23rd & 24th at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center.
We are seeking actors over the age of 16 of all types. Please bring a prepared monologue of no more than two minutes.
Rehearsals begin April 17 & 18.
